Key pieces for Spring 2023

As the weather gets warmer and Spring flowers push through we can start to think of our Spring/Summer wardrobe and how we can use the clothes we have to update for the season.

It is certainly not necessary to rush out and buy a new wardrobe, but a combination of a few treats and those items gathering dust in the back of your closet, makes the conscious woman a happy shopper!

Lisa and I are always loving new season trends, but it is important to pick the ones you feel comfortable in and that suit you. However you know I am always one to challenge you to try items that are out of your comfort zone. You never know! Just play around and have some fun.

Below are our key items for this season, and lots can be adapted from clothes and accessories you may already have.

Enjoy!

Top to toe, or highlights - silver is the metallic of the season. You may have a silver bag? Silver shoes? Or decide to treat yourself to some silver jeans.

Loose fitting jeans or a long skirt. Coats or jackets. You can do double (or even triple!) denim this season. A darker shade adds a more formal touch if you want to keep it polished. Just pack your skinny jeans away for a while….

THE colour of the season - maybe you have a scarf, bag, shoes, top, or even a piece of jewellery that shows off this amazing colour. And one that suits most skin colours.

Yes ladies we are thinking of the nineties and pulling out those old cargo trousers. Lots of satin ones out there for a more dressier approach. But the cotton version I think everyone should have in their wardrobe for the times you just want to relax.

A simple piece that is right on trend. You may already have one in your wardrobe - preferably white and fitted - just wear under a shirt and jeans or update with wide trousers and a blazer. Done!

So glad to see this pretty shape suddenly wearable again. Whether that is with collar and bow details or V neck and silky. Maybe a perfect piece to buy second hand with one of the vintage styles - and dress up or down.

Don’t be scared of a sheer trend. This can be layered up over under pieces, worn under jackets or knits, and a semi sheer top with pretty underwear showing slightly. Most brands are doing something sheer in their ranges or you may have a semi sheer top lurking in your wardrobe?

So a quick whiz through key items - and hope you enjoy picking a fave and making it your own! All images are from trend and influencer media which is always perfect inspiration for seeing how to wear and what looks good (thanks ladies!).
